Join us for the Sprouts Chef Training Gala - A Taste of Italy, an evening celebrating the power of mentorship, culinary artistry, and youth transformation.
This evening brings together award-winning chefs, top restaurateurs, philanthropists, and industry leaders to support and celebrate Sprouts’ mission—equipping underserved youth with the skills and opportunities to rise from hardship through careers in the culinary arts. This year’s gala honors Italian heritage and cuisine, featuring an extraordinary lineup of renowned Bay Area chefs preparing a multi-course menu inspired by Italy’s regional traditions.
Attendees will enjoy welcome bubbles + bites followed by a 4-course dinner program led by chefs Thomas McNaughton & Ryan Pollnow of Flour + Water with honored guests, sommelier pairings by Shelley Lindgren of A16, and live auction by Liam Mayclem.
Proceeds support the culinary training and job placement for Bay Area youth in need.

Join us for The Coastal Table, a one-of-a-kind weekend at The Inn at Newport Ranch on Northern California’s rugged Mendocino coast, for a weekend of soulful southern Italian cuisine, coastal foraging and memorable autumnal moments. This exclusive three-day experience offers immersive culinary events, coastal adventure, and slow living with an Italian accent. Whether you’re a guest of the inn or joining us à la carte, you're invited to savor the season, one bite (and one sip) at a time.
A16 Sommelier and Restaurateur Shelley Lindgren, Executive Chef Yosuke Machida and Executive Pastry Chef Charlie Guyard will be on site for the three day event, collaborating with The Inn's culinary and foraging team of Chefs Nick Wells and Adam Lawrence.

A sneak peek of the weekend’s itinerary:
On Friday, Inn guests will be welcomed by Shelley Lindgren with Italian libations, apertivi and lively conversation. Classic dinner service by the Inn will follow. We may find ourselves around the fire later in the evening, enjoying amari and s'mores.
Saturday begins with the Inn's coastal-inspired breakfast featuring Italian pastries and cheeses from A16. Chefs Nick and Adam will lead a coastal foraging trip to connect with seasonal bounty, followed by A16's signature pizza-making class by Chef Yosuke and a family-style lunch—an experiential fusion of land, sea, and Italy.
Saturday evening will commence with epic views and apertivi at Council Bluff, leading into an intimate, communal dinner for 40 guests where the true collaboration and the creative spirit of our community take center stage. Chef Yosuke's Japanese lineage and masterful approach with Southern Italian cuisine weaves harmoniously with Chefs Adam and Nick's inventive and soulful foraged coastal dishes. We'll wrap the evening in the magic touch guests come to expect when dining at A16 with Shelley's whimsical Italian wine pairings and storytelling.
On Sunday, we invite the community to a wine tasting and exploration of '“talian Wine Culture's Influence on Northern California", hosted by Shelley. Coastal Italian wines and Mendocino-grown Italian varieties will be explored side by side, paired with local and Italian cheeses, charcuterie, and bites by A16 — a closing toast to the shared resources and inspirations that bring us together.

Located at Orsi Family Vineyards in Healdsburg, Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley, Festa Italia di Healdsburg is a one-day celebration of Italian grape varieties farmed in California. The event highlights the exceptional Italian varietal wines crafted by artisan producers throughout California, often undiscovered beyond wine country. Attendees can explore the hidden gems of California's wine scene, featuring two VIP tasting panels with Italian wine experts and a grand tasting of over 25 Californian wine producers. The festival also includes Italian vendors and culinary greats, offering a unique experience that showcases the rich diversity of Italian varietal wines grown in California.
